8-Ton Battery Locomotive Nears Completion at Factory

Our dedicated workshop is buzzing as the first production batch of our cutting-edge 8-Ton Battery Locomotive enters its final stages. 

A key milestone has been reached: the chassis, the backbone of these machines, is now fully assembled and prepared for rigorous testing, putting us firmly on track for completion.

The photo showcases this critical progress. Installed within the robust welded steel frame are all core powertrain components ready for action. 

High-torque AC traction motors provide reliable propulsion, seamlessly transferring power through precisely fitted couplings to the heavy-duty gearboxes. This integrated drivetrain forms the heart of the locomotive’s efficient movement.

Beyond the powertrain, the chassis features significant engineering designed for demanding mining conditions. Reliable leaf spring or rubber-stud suspension, mounted on hardened grease bearing seats with tapered rollers, ensures smooth operation over uneven terrain.

Operators will benefit greatly from the clarity of the optional double cab configuration, enhancing visibility and safety significantly.

Essential systems are also integrated. Pneumatic brakes for effective stopping power on all four wheels coexist with a manual mechanical parking brake. Pneumatic sanders ensure vital track adhesion, while strategically placed spring buffers absorb potential impacts. 

Our team is meticulously validating every subsystem – motors, controllers, and braking – to ensure these locomotives deliver robust performance and maximum uptime.
