ZQ-26 Air Loader: Essential Safety Requirements and Operating Procedures

At Changsha mining equipment co.,ltd(CSME), we specialize in providing robust and reliable mining equipment designed with operator safety and operational efficiency as top priorities. The ZQ-26 Air Loader (rock shovel loader) is a prime example of our commitment to these principles.

As a single-bucket, track-mounted underground loading machine featuring front-loading and rear-dumping, the ZQ-26 is engineered to efficiently load blasted rock and ore into mine cars or other transport vehicles. It handles a wide range of materials, including gold, various metals, non-metallic minerals, and coal, with optimal efficiency for material sizes under 250mm and a maximum handling capacity of up to 500mm.

To ensure its reliable performance in diverse conditions—within tunnels with a height ≥2.25m, width ≥1.8m, and inclination ≤8°—strict adherence to safety protocols is non-negotiable. Our team, backed by deep technical expertise and rigorous quality control, provides this comprehensive guide to help your operation maximize both safety and productivity.

Critical Safety Requirements for the ZQ-26 Air Loader:

  1. Authorized Operation Only: Only trained and designated personnel may operate the machine.

  2. Clear Work Zone: Unauthorized personnel must not loiter near the machine during its operation.

  3. Secure Before Service: Never perform inspection, lubrication, or maintenance without first shutting off and locking out the air supply.

  4. Beware of Moving Parts: Keep hands and body clear of the movable bucket assembly. Never stay or work beneath or in front of a raised, unsecured bucket to avoid crushing injuries.

  5. Safe Worksite Environment: The working face must be well-ventilated, properly supported, and free from loose hanging rock. A minimum clearance of 400mm must be maintained on the operator's side between the loader and the tunnel wall, supports, or pipelines.

Detailed Safe Operating Procedures:

  1. Preparation: Ensure the track is straight, stable, and firmly pinned. Before starting, check all air hose connections for leaks and remove any wheel chocks used for parking.

  2. During Operation:

    • Clear debris from the tracks promptly. Move the loader carefully to avoid damaging the compressed air lines.

    • Keep all non-operators outside the machine's working radius. No one should approach the receiving mine car during dumping.

    • Employ correct shoveling technique: lower the bucket before driving it into the pile, lift while reversing when full, and advance while lowering for the next cycle. Lower the bucket smoothly without impact. Do not attempt to load oversized rocks exceeding the bucket's volume.

    • Regularly inspect the chains and the guide rails for the bucket's curved arms, removing any accumulated debris.

    • Avoid abrupt maneuvers during turning or side-loading to prevent derailment or tipping.

  3. Inclined Work & Blasting: On slopes (≤8°), use additional safety devices and confirm stability before work. During blasting, the loader must be parked at least 30 meters away from the face.

  4. Maintenance & Emergencies: For temporary repairs, securely brake and wedge the wheels. After use, clean the machine, using compressed air for exposed parts and lubricating the chains. If derailed, do not use the bucket frame to impact the buffer springs. Instead, shut off the air supply and use a jack or proper tools to reposition the machine onto the tracks.
