Welcome to Changsha Mining Equipment Co., Ltd.
The ZQ-30 Steel Wheel Pneumatic Rock Loader (also known as an air loader or pneumatic rock shovel) is a highly efficient front-loading and rear-dumping single-bucket rail-mounted rock loader. Its primary purpose is to continuously load blasted rocks and ore into mine cars within underground mining operations.
Capable of handling a wide range of materials, it performs exceptionally well with hard rocks and ores. While it can load rock particles up to 500 mm in size, it achieves peak operational efficiency with rock sizes ranging between 200 mm to 300 mm.
Designed strictly for harsh underground conditions, the ZQ-30 operates securely where traditional electric machinery might pose risks. Because it utilizes compressed air as its power source, it is highly suitable and safe for operation in environments containing gas and flammable gases. Furthermore, the robust sealing ensures excellent dust-proof and moisture-proof performance, keeping internal mechanics safe from mine debris.
The ZQ-30 pneumatic rock shovel features a compact structure, ensuring convenient and reliable operation. It consists of five main components:
Walking Box (Chassis): The foundation of the loader. It carries all other components and executes the forward (shoveling) and backward (dumping) movements. It features an adjustable drive chain via an eccentric end cover and a manual clutch for towing.
Turntable: Connected to the chassis via three ball seats. It handles the lifting of the bucket and left/right rotation. It includes a pneumatic piston pin that automatically centers the turntable to prevent accidental injuries during operation.
Bucket Lifting Part: The direct working component. Connected to the turntable by four wire ropes, it rolls back and forth on tracks driven by lifting chains to achieve shoveling and dumping motions.
Control Part: Consists of dual control panels mounted on both sides. The main panel features the main air supply valve, bucket control valve, and travel control valve, fully managing all operations.
Pneumatic Motors: Two dedicated air motors (one for travel, one for lifting) convert compressed air into powerful rotational mechanical energy.
The rock loading workflow follows a highly efficient, cyclic process: Advance to ore pile → Shovel materials → Lift bucket and retreat → Dump.
During excavation, the bucket leans against the buffer yoke to gain thrust. Leveraging the bucket bracket against the frame axis, combined with appropriate vibration, allows the shovel to maximize load capacity. As the loaded bucket is hoisted, it follows a smooth curve. Near the final position, the increasing drum radius accelerates the bucket, allowing the ore to be forcefully and smoothly discharged via inertia into the transport equipment.
Depending on the specific mine's transportation setup, the ZQ-30 can dump materials directly into standard mine cars positioned behind it, or it can discharge into chutes and conveyor belts.
Explosion-Proof Safety: Fully pneumatic operation eliminates electrical spark risks in gassy mines.
High Adaptability: Easily handles hard rock fragmentation up to 500 mm.
Robust Durability: Excellent sealing provides a dust-proof and moisture-proof internal environment.
Ease of Operation: Features intuitive multi-valve controls and automatic turntable centering for safety.
Versatile Unloading: Compatible with mine cars, chutes, and standard conveyor belts.

The ZQ-30 can load rock sizes up to 500 mm. However, for maximum efficiency and smooth operation, it performs best when handling rock particles in the 200 mm to 300 mm range.
Yes. Because the ZQ-30 utilizes compressed air as its power source rather than electricity, it is inherently safe and highly recommended for working in underground environments containing gas and other flammable gases.
The equipment features a bucket capacity of 0.3 ± 0.030 m³ and delivers a technical productivity rate of ≥ 72 m³/h.
The standard gauge for the ZQ-30 is 600 mm. If your mine requires a different track width, we can customize the gauge to 750 mm, 762 mm, or 900 mm. Please specify this requirement when placing your order.
The ZQ-30 is a front-loading, rear-dumping machine. When the bucket reaches its highest position, momentum combined with a buffer spring smoothly discharges the materials directly into mine cars positioned behind it, or into chutes and transportation belts.
