3JP(B) Three-Drum Scraper Winch
◆ Three drums, maximum control — The 3JP(B) series is engineered for continuous pulling and scraping in underground and surface mines. With a compact footprint and robust cast construction, it delivers reliable operation even in the most confined drifts. Available in four power variants (7.5 kW to 55 kW), these winches adapt to scraper buckets from 0.1 m³ up to 0.6 m³.
⚙️ Working principle
The 3JP(B) winch uses three independent drums: a working drum for pulling the loaded scraper bucket, an empty drum for returning it, and a third drum that assists in rope management and stabilises the cycle. During operation, the working drum steel rope (∅9.3 – 18.5 mm) hauls the bucket at average speeds of 1.0 – 1.2 m/s, while the empty drum retrieves it at slightly higher speeds (up to 1.8 m/s). This differential speed boosts cycle efficiency without sacrificing control. The planetary gear transmission ensures smooth engagement and high durability under shock loads.

Built to withstand harsh conditions, the 3JP(B) operates reliably in temperatures from -20 °C to +40 °C. The motor enclosure is rated IP54, resisting dust and water splashes — ideal for underground drifts, drawpoints, and transfer points. The winch’s steel structure is treated with anti‑corrosion primer, and all bearings are sealed to prevent grit ingress. Whether in narrow vein mining or open‑pit benches, the compact dimensions (width from 565 mm to 1010 mm) allow easy installation in tight spaces.
