Running-in Process for New Mining Tricycles

——A careful running-in process helps new mining tricycles achieve optimal performance, prevent early wear, and ensure reliable field operation.

Before new mining tricycles are put into heavy-duty operation, they must undergo a careful running-in process. This essential early stage allows the engine and mechanical systems to adapt to real working conditions, ensuring smoother performance, lower wear, and greater reliability throughout the vehicle’s service life.

Before a new mining tricycle enters formal service, it must go through a careful running-in process. This period allows every mechanical part—especially within the diesel engine and chassis—to adapt to working conditions and achieve the best fit and performance. Skipping this step can lead to faster wear, higher maintenance costs, and a shorter service life.

During the initial operation, the internal surfaces of moving parts still have microscopic irregularities from machining. Gentle use under light load gradually smooths these surfaces, reduces friction, and improves reliability. Meanwhile, operators can detect early issues such as loose fasteners or small mechanical adjustments that need tightening before full-load operation.

Before running-in begins, it is important to check the completeness of all parts, oil levels, tire pressure, and steering system flexibility. The electrical components, brakes, and transmission should function normally, with no leaks or abnormal sounds.

The running-in process usually starts with no-load driving, followed by gradual load increases. Straight-line driving, braking, and gear shifting should all be performed smoothly. Operators should avoid excessive acceleration or climbing steep slopes during this stage, especially in hot weather. After the process—typically around 1,000 km—gear oil, engine oil, and filters should be replaced, and the entire vehicle inspected again.

A properly executed running-in ensures stable performance, lower fuel consumption, and an extended service life. For owners and operators, patience in this early stage translates directly into long-term reliability and better economic returns.

By emphasizing proper running-in practices, our company aims to help users maximize the performance and longevity of every mining tricycle delivered. Each vehicle is built for demanding environments, and careful attention to early maintenance ensures it continues to operate efficiently and safely in the field for years to come.
